Salvation

This article is for you who do not yet know Jesus Christ, or not yet have invited Him into your heart. You have something wonderful waiting for you.

The bible tells us that something is blocking the access for you to our Heavenly Father. Something that stands in the way so that even if you try to reach him, you will never succeed. Unless a real game changer happens.

The mysterious something that separates you from God is your sin. Unrighteousness. Evil things you have done to others. You might say that "I'm not that bad". But that is only because you compare yourself to other people. God compares you with himself. To have access to God's Kingdom, you must be sin free, totally clean and made holy.

Do you remember some day you lied? Or stole something? Or talked bad about others? Well, then you don't qualify for the Kingdom of God. You are destined to an eternity without God. The bible says you will end up in "the lake of fire". Therefore, you are in desperate need of a saviour.

The good news for you is that Jesus died as a sacrifice for your sins. He gave his own blood on the cross. He did it for you and me. He said " I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". How can that be? Because he is the only sacrifice God will accept for your sin.

So if you do not know Jesus Christ yet, then pay attention now: Jesus rose from the grave and is alive today, sitting next to our heavenly Father. He will listen to you when you pray and call upon his name (he created the ear, right? Of course he can hear you). So if you want to accept Him as your saviour, you need only to believe in Him, and invite Him into your heart. You can use your own words, or pray something like the below:

Dear Jesus. Come into my heart. Forgive my sins. Take me just as I am. I give myself to you, my body, soul and spirit. I want to follow and serve you. Use me for your glory!

If you have prayed like this from your heart, you are now a child of God, and you have the privilege to get to know our heavenly Father. You are forgiven of your sins, and you have eternal life. It would be good for you to start to read the bible and find a local church.
